Geomet® CMM Software is a widely used manual or DCC system for rapid and efficient CMM measurement and programming. It is retrofit-able to most CMMs, and offers a full range of features to make any CMM a powerful 3D inspection and analysis machine. Along with the graphical windows menus and toolbar interface, Geomet includes a standard Keyboard key-label user interface called “Keystroke MagicTM” for its efficient direct access to measuring functions. Programs are produced using a self-teach measurement session directly on parts, and enhancing them with a full complement of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing features (GD&T). Measured results are provided in Reports and can be exported in Reverse-engineered CAD format.

For over 30 years, there has been a continuity of concepts, and a fundamental goodness in ease and efficiency in Geomet. A user of early HP Basic Geomet would have little difficulty to walk up and use the later DOS versions, or today's Windows® versions, because the operating principles have not changed. The user interface, though vastly updated with graphical and Windows® functionality, remains recognizable through the parallel iconic keyboard key-labels. Users inevitably gravitate to this ultimately efficient interaction with Geomet.
